The main lobby of the building is a multiplex of several types
of materials. The second floor walking track is surrounded with
a blue steel railing. The stairs sit on the corridor wall which
allows clear passage under them. The main structure of the lobby
is timber framing. The large timber members are supported mid-span
with horizontal members, which creates a simple grid. The 40’ rock
type wall is used by members of the community center and also by
fire rescue teams for exercises.
